Jasmine Café ~ 20th Anniversary!

“Still Rockin’ After All These Years!”

For Immediate Release
October 31, 2008

Reston, VA - Reston’s oldest established restaurant, Jasmine Café, is celebrating 20 years of dining and memories at Lake Anne Village Center.

“We’re still rockin’ after all these years,” says Chef and Jasmine Café owner, Eduardo Faubert. Since he began creating his fresh and contemporary American Cuisine dishes at Jasmine Café in 1988, Faubert has become a Reston icon, with a multitude of loyal patrons. Restonians fill the seats at Jasmine for themed wine dinners, cooking classes, birthdays, marriage proposals, a drink at the bar, and dinner by the fountain. One of the restaurant’s biggest fans is Reston founder, Robert E. Simon, Jr., who dines there regularly. “Jasmine Café consistently inspires my palate, but I’m sure I’ve had his artichoke dip at least 600 times over the years,” said Simon, 94, who has traveled and dined extensively. “We always meet friends there, by plan or by chance. I feel fortunate to have Eduardo’s fine fare right here in my neighborhood.”

Faubert favors the friendly village atmosphere, which is why he chose to locate his restaurant at the unique lakeside venue of Lake Anne. Jasmine Café has a cozy interior and also provides plenty of al fresco seating with a prime view, especially when the plaza is alive with outdoor concerts, markets and special events. Every Saturday night, Jasmine Café is a destination, with live music beginning at 7 p.m. to accompany the fine meals that Faubert creates.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary, Jasmine Café customers will be treated to gift certificates for prizes from appetizers to complimentary dinners through the end of the year. Jasmine Café is open daily for lunch, 11 AM until 2:30 PM, and dinner, 5 PM until 10 PM, located at 1633A Washington Plaza, Lake Anne Village Center, Reston, VA 20190.
